Prototype Casting Engineers / Casting Project Managers

We are looking for Engineers to join our Prototype Casting team to oversee casting projects and to interface with departments within TEI and customers.  Your principal role would be to deliver high quality castings on time to customers from a wide range of industries. You will either have experience in problem solving in a foundry environment or be a graduate with a strong interest in casting technology.

CAD Engineers

Engineers with substantial 3d modeling skills are sought to join our Prototype Casting Engineering Department. You will either have had a background in Patternmaking or Tooling which has lead into Engineering or you will be a graduate with good 3d visualization and modeling skills. Experience with NX or Catia software would be a distinct advantage. Your work would involve: building gating systems for new prototype castings, simulating fill and solidification for that casting-gating system, further iterating to obtain a sound casting, designing tooling or 3d printed molds to enable the castings to be made.  You would interface with personnel within the foundry and casting machining areas to follow your casting projects into manufacture.

5-axis CNC machinists

TEI is looking for experienced 5-axis CNC machinists to join our team on second shift.


  • Responsible for setting up and operating a 5-axis CNC machines
  • Complete machining operations from drawings work instructions and/or verbal instructions
  • Knowledge of complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials


  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machines


  • Experience with Renishaw probing software
  • Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain controllers.

Casting Machining Programmers

You would have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in programming, machining castings and designing fixtures for low volume prototype casting applications.  Your work would involve: programming machining on a variety of 3-axis CNC machines, Makino 4-axis, and DMG 5-axis machines, modeling fixtures in Siemens NX or Catia, programming castings in a variety of machining software including WorkNC, LeMoine and Vericut, and  experience in programming in Mastercam or another mainstream programming software that would also be directly relevant.
